چکیده

This study attempts to utilize cold-bonded fly ash based artificial lightweight aggregate (ALWA) and retrieved unground rice husk (URHA) as internal curing (IC) agents for improving performance of typical super-sulfaed cement (SSC) mortar fabricated with ternary mixture 85% slag, 10% gypsum, only 5% blended Portland (PCB). The ALWA partially replacing fine (FA) at four values 25, 50, 75, 100 vol.% was used. For evaluating impact using hybrid addition IC on performances SSC mortars, the amount after being optimized replaced by URHA levels vol.%. Experimental results showed that, FA up 50 led mortars remarkably increased workability uncompromised impacts strengths durability. Addition significantly improved fresh properties flexural strength but it negatively impacted durability resultant in terms water absorption, decreased UPV, drying shrinkage.

Bagasse ash and rice husk ash as cement replacement in self-compacting concrete

In studies conducted to determine the workability of concrete, the bagasse ash and rice husk ash were added as a partial replacement for cement. Trial mixes with the varying water cement ratio, replacement percentage, quantity of super plasticizer and viscosity modifying agent, were prepared and tested. The results were used as the basis for defining three optimum cement replacement mix proport...
